Energy

„Electric power is everywhere present in unlimited quantities and can drive the world’s machinery without the need of coal, oil, gas, or any other fuels.
This new power for the driving to the world´s machinery
will be derived from the energy which operates the universe.
The cosmic energy“
— Nikola Tesla

Electricity is the backbone of modern society. From industry and transportation to communication and critical infrastructure, reliable electrical power is essential to almost everything we do.

Behind this reliability lies a complex interconnected power system. Generation and consumption must remain in balance, while power flows, voltage, frequency and system stability must be managed within defined technical limits. Substations, protection systems, automation and control technologies all play a vital role in keeping the grid operating safely and reliably.

Today, the energy transition is transforming this system. Renewable generation, large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric mobility and decentralized energy resources are changing how electricity is generated, transmitted, distributed and consumed. At the same time, grid codes, network constraints and increasingly dynamic operating conditions place new demands on power system engineering and operation.

The challenge is not simply to connect more energy resources, but to integrate them intelligently into the existing grid. This requires an understanding of grid physics, coordinated control, secure communication and reliable automation from individual assets and substations to microgrids and interconnected power networks.

Understanding the grid. Managing complexity. Enabling the energy transition.
